Fiscal Year 2009-2010

August - we celebrated our first year anniversary by going out to A1 Restaurant

September- we donated $300 to Shinerama ( proceeds go towards cystic fibrosis)
We also held our club days, and our membership grew to 24 members

November- Delight of the muses was held, an art auction and proceeds from that night $530.00 went towards Big Brothers and Big Sisters Chapter of Windsor

January- Our pinning ceremony was held, and planning began for the battle of the brains

March- A new executive was chosen, and the battle of the brains was held, we are still receiving cheques and donations so the final number will be up shortly.

Fiscal Year 2008-2009

August 14th 2008- Is the Anniversary of the clubs ratification ( this august a small event will be taking place to honour the 1 year anniversary of our new club which is university and community based)

September- Our club participated in Club Days and membership quickly grew to 16 members

October- We held a non alchoholic event on campus with the sponsorship of the ” I’m not that Guy/ I’m not that girl campaign” that supports dry events at the University of Windsor. A certificate was presented to the  club for their initiatives. The event was a haunted house held at the school of visual arts. ( The LeBel building)

November- Our club attended an Engineers Without Borders event, making us partners and sponsors of their Wine and Dine event. Proceeds from the event helped send students to a region in Africa.

December- We held a pinning ceremony for all our members. Rotarians were invited to join us in the Board Room at the University of Windsor. Members were able to get pinned and mingle amongst our sponsoring clubs members from Rotary 1918. At this meeting the club discussed their wish to plan a gala that would help benefit polio.

January- We gave money to Carly Hunt, co-ordinator of the Students Orienting Students program at the University of Windsor. She was able to travel to Philipines and work there with doctors without borders.

*Planning soon began for our Rotaract Fashion Show: Fashion  Fights Polio*

March- The Rotaract Club of  Windsor (1918) proudly organized a black tie event: Fashion Fights Polio. This event was held at the Ambassador auditorium at the University of Windsor. The night featured guest speaker William Patchett past district governor, president, and currently in charge of the polio plus foundation in his district. The event was sponsored by Soiree decoration who donated all the decor, Advanced Machining Services, UWSA( Uwindsor Student Alliance), our sponsoring Club Windsor 1918 and many more. The event raised over $4000.00 towards eradicating polio
in developing countries.

April- We have donated $250.00 to sponsor the Kidney Foundations volleyball event.

*We are hoping to get some volunteers out for the art in the park which will be held in June*
It has been a great year working with this fine group of people and we already have 8 new prospective members for next year.
