MOTION
Kathy: I would like to make a motion to approve the minutes from August 24, 2009
Seconded by Ally – APPROVED
Membership application and fees were collected
Alex needs a stamp and Geoff paid but didn’t fill out the application
Alex: shirt orders will be going in today to Karen and if you want names on the back please specify on the sheet and it will be $25.  We now have an order in for $310 worth of promotional materials, do we want to spend more closely to $400 or leave it with what we have spent?
Cynthia: What if we buy mugs for speakers that come in?
Alex: we are going to look into getting about 10 mugs
Members now paid the $25 for polo’s
Alex: if you haven’t paid yet, please bring your money for the next meeting
Alex: club days is going to be the 23-25th of September
Alex then conducted the workshop on how to conduct meetings
Alex: Cam from the gallery on Wyandotte will give us the gallery for free and will get us a liquor license.  We need to have wrist bands and my dad will be willing to serve because he has smart serve.  Anyone that knows anyone that has art work and wants to sell it let me know
Cynthia: make sure they know about the 50/50 deal with the art
Alex: we may be able to give 50% to a kids camp, we could also still do the project HOPE idea
For the next meeting we will do a doodle
Ally: buy and name your own horse at the Anglo club for fundraising

Alex: all in favor to approve the money going to the toonie toss – APPROVED
Alex: underagers can’t play for the alcohol and we have to have wrist bands for the toonie toss
Ally: we could do the toonie toss at the pub
Anna: we could go to a bar downtown on like a Tuesday
Alex: let’s look into different venues
Ally: if we did it post December first years will be over 18
Cynthia: we could look at the third or fourth week of January on a Sunday
Ashley: we also have to look into the venue being able to allow gambling and I know Treehouse has poker nights
Ally: I can look into Peppers because I know a guy that co-owns it
Ashley: I can look into Treehouse
Alex: the date will be the 17th of September
Anna: Children’s safety village is September 19 and 20 in the afternoon and if you want to volunteer please let me know by email
