Rotaract Meeting Minutes: Sunday January 24, 2010
Members Present: Erin, Kristin, Amber, Amanda, Cynthia, Kathy, Marrissa, __, Shammy, Alex, Byron, Andrew, Stef, Tonny, Stacey, Tiffany, Brad, Mike
Regrets from:
• Guest Speaker: Vanessa Chase from YGAP (gambling)

• Pinning members: Andrew, Stef, Mike

• March 26th: Battle of the Brains

• Make sure you are free for the 26th of March
• The hall is finalized at Place Concord
• Messages have been sent out to the Rotarians
• Trying to get 2 more projectors
• Brad has sent out press requests for the event
• Cynthia and Kathy has designed the layout for the ticket
• We also need sponsors for the event
• Erin is going to send out a sponsorship package
• Mike can see what posters he can get from Rotary London since they just had an event like ours
• Amber and Erin can work on a brain poster
• Doors will open at 6 cash bar opens at 6:30 and dinner will be at 7
• We want to do a test run of trivial pursuit with us
• Wine color table clothes for an extra $8 per table
• Tickets should end up being around $25 depending on our overhead costs
• For advertising the posters are only going to be half sheets to save on costs
• For desserts we have to provide our own
• Stef can bring desserts cause she owns a bakery
• Since this event is international it may be good to raise funds for Haiti
• Battle of the Brains: Support Haiti?
• We can also have a donation box there
• Cynthia could also make gift baskets for a raffle and Kristin could do a candy basket
• We don’t need a DJ
• Everyone look for sponsors and donations from work

• We will set the price at 25$ so you can start selling them now
• The facebook group is already up and can be made public tonight
• Try to get professors that you know to buy tickets
