THE ROTARACT CLUB OF WINDSOR 1918

Minutes of the monthly meeting of the Rotaract Club of Windsor 1918 held on Sunday (March,1st, 2009) at (1:30 pm) in CAW Center.

Welcome Remarks
The President, Alex Kais, took the chair and welcomed those in attendance.
The club met with Talish who will be doing the music, lighting and slide show presentation for the fashion show. They were told what the club wanted and discussed the plans for the fashion show. An agreement was made and the club will be meeting with them later in the week to further discuss matters. The Rotaractors who will be working with them and the models consists of Rhea, Anmol, Anna, Kathy, Cynthia and Hiedi. The group can be contacted by email: infamousreverb@gmail.com. Alex will be finding out the specifications for the speakers at his next meeting with Dean.

The room will now be setup the same day as the fashion show and it is booked from the morning. Housekeeping will set up the tables and the chairs as discussed from 8am to 10am that day. Any alterations can be made by us that afternoon. Members will be meeting in the room from 11.30pm as previously discussed.
A black shirt for the stage and the projection screen are needed for the fashion show.
The ads have been running on CJM, A Channel and AM800. The article in the Lance regarding the event was also done and all members got a chance to look at it thanks to Alex who gave us copies.
REMEMBER
ALL MEMBERS MUST BE WEARING THEIR PINS THE NIGHT OF THE FASHION SHOW
Also please note that on Tuesday and Thursday we will be selling tickets in the CAW.
The times that where agreed upon are as follows
Shammy 11.0am—3.00pm
Amanda 11.30am—2.00pm
Andrew 11am—12.30pm
Brad 1.00pm—2.30pm
Rhea 1.30pm—3.00pm
Members then paid their contribution towards the fashion show.
All members that did not pay are kindly asked to do so at the next meeting.
The election of a new board is coming up quickly the following members have been nominated.

ALL MEMBERS were urged to try to attend Transitional Leadership Conference
The Transitional Leadership Conference is an initiative created by the Windsor Leadership Association under the Educational Development Centre. It will be held March 20th to the 21st in Vanier Hall. The last day to sign up for the conference is the 10th of March. It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn as further leaders and as members of an organization like Rotaract that focuses on making us good leaders. The fee is only $20.00.

Termination of Meeting
President Alex thanked all the members for their thoughts and input. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the President terminated the meeting at 3:30 pm.
